Nuacht An Chlub

As part of the ongoing development of Peileadóirí an tSuláin, we have decided to move the majority of training sessions and home matches from Coláiste Ghobnatan in Baile Bhúirne, and return to Páirc na Laoch in Cúil Aodha. We continue to be very grateful to Coláiste Ghobnatan for allowing us the use of their facilities. However, the pitch size at Coláiste Ghobnatan does not meet the minimum dimensions allowed, the probable future expansion of the school onto the pitch area, and to allow the club to plan future development projects, it is now time to plan for us to have a long term home for the club. Cúil Aodha has previously been the home pitch for Peileadóirí an tSuláin and we are excited to return once again.

As a committee, we have recently reached an agreement with Coiste Cúil Aodha and to allow us to continue to use the community pitch, Páirc na Laoch, in Cúil Aodha for matches/training’s while also sharing its use with the local community. We would like to thank them all for their continued support.

There has been ongoing work at the Cúil Aodha site, where we have recently fenced off the pitch, which will allow us to better develop and maintain the area.
While we understand that the Cúil Aodha location isn’t as central as Baile Bhúrine, it does allow us to move forward as a club into the future.

By allowing the club to have a permanent home, it will allow us to qualify to make applications for future funding to reinvest into the pitch and club development and serve our respective communities.
